Welcome to the S-Lab!

The-S lab is designed for doctoral students with a keen interest in theoretical and applied syntax. We examine a wide range of syntactic phenomena across languages, with special attention to issues related to movement and ellipsis. The lab encourages cross-linguistic perspectives and formal syntactic analysis grounded in generative grammar and other syntactic theories.

In our lab meetings, we will :

  • Read and critically discuss influential and current research in syntax.
  • Share and workshop dissertation chapters, conference papers, and research ideas.
  • Analyze linguistic data, focusing on syntactic structures and theoretical implications.
  • Explore experimental and corpus-based methodologies in syntactic research.
