 As the hot summer passed and we somehow finished the midterm exams, we entered the middle of the second semester of the 2025 academic year along with the cool and slightly chilly autumn. After the midterm exams, our university has been holding various events, including the sports festival prepared by the student council, as well as activities organized by each department and college to promote an enjoyable campus life.

 Among them, the “Cheonhwa X Gaehwa Joint Festival,” held on October 30, was an event prepared together by the 10th Central College Student Council “Cheonhwa” and the 58th College of Humanities and Social Sciences Student Council “Gaehwa.” In the previous semester, the Direct College held its “Night of Direct Students,” and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences hosted its “2025 Haeoreum Festival” separately, but this semester, the two student councils joined forces to plan a joint event.

 This article aims to capture the memories of the night of youth created by the two college student councils.

 

 On October 30, 2025, the “Cheonhwa X Gaehwa Joint Festival” was held at the University Cultural Center of our university. The event took place from 6 to 9 pm and opened with the introduction, “This joint festival is a place where the two college student councils come together to share their hearts and showcase the passion of youth. Although we walk different paths, we bloom more fully when together. We hope that everyone shines in harmony at this moment.”

 The joint festival was divided into two parts. In the first part, the opening ceremony, guest speeches, and student council introductions were held, followed by a briefing on the festival rules and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of the event. In the second part, the joint singing contest allowed students to showcase their talent and passion, followed by prize draws and mini-games.

 The joint singing contest recruited participants from October 22 to 27 through a Naver form for students of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Direct College, and the prizes were set at 50,000 won for first place, 30,000 won for second place, and 20,000 won for third place.

 At the event venue, a table zone and various department booths were also operated.

 The table zone operated on a reservation basis with a total of 50 tables (25 for the Direct College and 25 for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences). For each table (based on four people), 1 liter of makgeolli and basic snacks were provided, and beer was allowed to be brought in up to two cans per person. On the other hand, soju was restricted from being brought in. Students who made reservations were required to complete entry verification by bringing their student ID between 6:00- 6:30 p.m., and a deposit of 5,000 won per table had to be paid in advance to prevent no-shows. The deposit was refunded upon on-site use, but it was not refunded in case of no attendance. Students who did not make a reservation were able to use the mat zone.

 At the College of Humanities and Social Sciences booths, the Department of Library and Information Science operated a “Halloween Café,” the Department of English Language and Literature offered a “Guess the Song in Three Seconds” game, the Department of Journalism and Broadcasting ran “Love Delivery,” and the Department of Police Administration hosted a “Dalgona Making” activity. At the Direct College booths, the Department of Airline Service offered “Halloween Tattoos” and a “Pirate Roulette Game,” the Department of Aircraft Mechanical Engineering operated “Ping-Pong Ball Cup Toss, Water Bottle Standing, and Ttakji Games,” the Department of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles offered “Kimchi Pancakes” and “simple games”, and the Department of Military Science operated a “BB Gun Shooting” activity.

 

 

 The following is an interview with Kim Min-young, Deputy Director of the Media and Public Relations Department of the Direct College Student Council, who helped organize the “Cheonhwa X Gaehwa Joint Festival.

 

Q. Did you notice any differences or synergy while preparing the event together with different colleges?

“Since this event was organized jointly by the student councils of the two different colleges, ‘Cheonhwa’ and ‘Gaehwa,’ it involved more council members than a typical Direct College event, which allowed for greater exchange of opinions. By sharing experiences from last year’s festivals and coordinating with each other, we were able to feel the synergy.”

 

Q. What goal did you hope to achieve through this joint festival?

“As the festival is called a Joint Festival, my goal was to create an opportunity for students from different colleges, the Direct College and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, to enjoy the event together without hesitation. Having this goal gave me more motivation in preparing for the festival.”

 

Q. What message did you want to convey to students through this event?

“Although a college festival may be unfamiliar to some students, I believe that if it becomes even a small but shining memory when looking back on the semester, it is worth all the effort put into preparing the joint festival. I would like to highlight our Direct College Student Council’s slogan, ‘A sky that shines with harmony, us blooming high,‘ as the message I most want to convey.“

 

 The “Cheonhwa X Gaehwa Joint Festival” was an event completed through the cooperation of the two student councils and concluded successfully with the participation and support of students. With booths reflecting the characteristics of each college, an enthusiastic stage for the singing contest, and systematic management to ensure a safe event, the festival was even more complete.

 I hope that this joint festival will serve as a foundation for positive cooperation in future on-campus events, and I look forward to the memories of this autumn remaining as an enjoyable page in the students’ college life.

“함께여서 더 빛난 연합제, 천 화와 개화가 만든 청춘의 기록”

무더운 여름이 지나 어느새 중간고사까지 마무리하며, 시원한 듯 서늘한 가을과 함께 2025학년도 2학기의 중반에 접어들었다. 우리 대학은 중간고사 이후 즐거운 캠퍼스 라이프를 위해 학생회에서 준비한 체육대회를 비롯해 각 학부와 단과대학의 행사들이 이어지고 있다.

그중에서도 10월 30일에 열린 ‘천 화X개화 연합제’는 제10대 직할학부 학생회 ‘천 화’와 제58대 인문사회대학 학생회 ‘개화’가 함께 준비한 행사였다. 지난 학기에는 직할학부의 ‘직할인의 밤’과 인문사회대학의 ‘2025 해오름제’가 각각 진행되었지만, 이번 학기에는 두 학생회가 힘을 모아 공동으로 행사를 기획했다.

두 단과대학 학생회가 함께 만들어낸 청춘의 밤, 그 추억을 이번 기사에 담고자 한다.

 

 

2025년 10월 30일, 우리대학교 대학문화관 광장에서 ‘천 화·개화 연합제’가 열렸다. 행사는 오후 6시부터 9시까지 진행됐으며, “이번 연합제는 두 단과대학 학생회가 함께 어우러져 서로 마음을 나누고, 청춘의 열정을 펼칠 수 있는 자리입니다. 서로 다른 길을 걷고 있지만, 함께할 때 더 만개하는 우리처럼 이 순간만큼은 모두가 화합으로 빛나길 바랍니다”라는 소개와 함께 막을 올렸다.

연합제는 총 2부로 구성됐다. 1부에서는 개회식, 내빈 축사, 학생회 소개가 진행되었으며 이어 연합제 규칙 및 안전수칙이 안내돼 행사 진행의 안전성을 확보했다. 2부에서는 학우들의 끼와 열정을 펼칠 수 있는 연합가요제, 경품 추첨, 미니게임 등이 이어졌다.

연합가요제는 10월 22일부터 27일까지 인문사회대학과 직할학부 재학생을 대상으로 네이버폼을 통해 참가자를 모집했으며, 상금은 1등 5만 원, 2등 3만 원, 3등 2만 원으로 구성됐다.

행사장에는 테이블존과 다양한 과별 부스도 운영되었다.

테이블존은 총 50개(직할학부 25개/인문사회대학 25개)의 테이블을 사전예약제로 진행했으며, 테이블 1개(4인 기준)당 막걸리 1L와 기본안주를 제공, 맥주는 1인당 2캔까지 반입이 가능했다. 반면 소주는 반입이 제한되었다. 사전 예약한 학생들은 18시부터 18시 30분 사이에 학생증을 지참해 입장 확인을 완료해야 했으며, 노쇼 방지를 위해 테이블당 5,000원의 보증금을 사전 입금해야 했다. 보증금은 현장 이용 시 환불되며, 미참석 시에는 환불되지 않았다. 사전예약을 하지 않은 학생들은 돗자리존을 이용할 수 있었다.

인문사회대학 부스에는 문헌정보학과의 ‘할로윈 카페’, 영어영문학과의 ‘3초 노래 듣고 맞추기’, 신문방송학과의 ‘러브딜리버리’, 경찰행정학과의 ‘달고나 만들기’가 마련되었다. 직할학부 부스에는 항공서비스학과의 ‘할로윈 타투’와 ‘해적 룰렛 게임’, 항공기계공학과의 ‘탁구공 컵 넣기·물병 세우기·딱지치기’, 무인항공기학과의 ‘김치전’과 ‘간단한 게임’, 군사학과의 ‘비비탄 사격’ 등이 운영되었다.

 

 

다음은 이번 ‘천 화·개화 연합제’를 준비해준 직할학부 학생회 언론 정보부 차장 김민영 학생의 인터뷰 내용이다.

 

Q.서로 다른 학부가 함께 준비하면서 느낀 차이점이나 시너지가 있었나요?

“서로 다른 단과대학 ‘천 화‘와 ’개화‘ 학생회가 함께 진행하는 행사인 만큼 기존 직할학부가 준비하는 것보다 더 많은 인원의 학생회 분들과 진행된 만큼 더 많은 의견 교류가 이루어져 좋았습니다. 서로 작년의 축제에 대한 경험을 공유하고, 맞춰가는 모습에서 시너지를 느낄 수 있었습니다.”

 

Q.이번 연합제를 통해 이루고자 했던 목표가 있다면 무엇인가요?

“축제 이름도 ‘연합제’인 만큼 서로 다른 단과대학이지만 직할학부, 인사대에 소속되어있는 학우분들이 거리낌없이 다같이 즐길 수 있는 기회가 되었으면 하는 바램이 저의 목표였던 것 같습니다. 이런 목표를 통해 축제 준비에 더 원동력을 얻을 수 있었습니다.”

 

Q.이번 행사를 통해 학생들에게 어떤 메시지를 전하고 싶었나요?

“단과대 축제가 어쩌면 학우분들께는 생소할 수 있지만, 한 학기를 되돌아보았을 때 사소하게라도 빛나는 추억으로 기억된다면 그걸로 연합제를 준비한 보람은 충분하다 생각합니다! 저희 직할학부 학생회 슬로건 ’화합으로 빛나는 하늘, 높이 꽃피는 우리‘를 가장 전하고 싶은 메시지로 언급하고 싶습니다.”

 

‘천 화X개화 연합제’는 두 학생회의 협력으로 완성된 행사로, 학우들의 참여와 호응 속에서 성공적으로 마무리되었다. 각 학부의 특성을 살린 부스 운영과 열띤 가요제 무대, 안전한 행사 진행을 위한 체계적인 운영까지 더해져 더욱 완성도 높은 축제가 되었다.

이번 연합제가 앞으로 학내 행사에 긍정적인 협력의 기반이 되길 바라며, 이번 가을의 추억이 학우들의 대학생활 속 즐거운 한 페이지로 남기를 기대한다.
