Our university holds a Street Recruitment event for central clubs

In March, when the spring spirit permeated the campus, our university's Central Library Square was filled with students' lively steps. Our university held a street recruitment event for the 2025 school year. Organized by the club association ‘Link’, the event was held at the square in front of the Central Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for two days from March 19 (Wednesday) to 20 (Thursday).

The event, which is held every year with the expectations of many classmates, was a great opportunity for our university students. In particular, freshmen who have just entered the school can meet and experience clubs that suit them through this event. A total of 31 clubs have set up booths and have prepared hands-on activities and events to show off their individuality and charm. In addition, the university press, our school ambassador ‘청연’, and ROTC participated to promote their organizations.

One of the most prominent programs at this event was the participatory event. Participants visit six club booths to perform given missions and collect stickers accordingly. After that, they follow the club association Link's Instagram and receive an additional sticker at the Link booth. After collecting all seven stickers on the back of the ticket, fill out the application ticket and put it in the application box to complete the participation. Event prizes were also prepared in abundance. Practical prizes such as coffee machines, Bluetooth headsets, speakers, keyboards, multi-cookers, and ramen were provided to increase the enthusiasm for participation further. Through this process, our university students were able to experience and communicate firsthand.

On one side of the Central Library, busking performances involving performances and clubs were held at times. Various genres of performances, such as acoustic bands, vocal clubs, and hip-hop performances, continued. Various performance clubs such as the acoustic band '트라이앵글', dance club '에이블', and hip-hop club '시티코어' participated. Their busking went beyond simple promotion, heating the atmosphere of the festival and completing the atmosphere.

Interviews were conducted to listen to the vivid experiences of students who participated in these events and to find out the contents of the event in detail. The following is an interview with On-yu Kim, a student of the Korean Language Education Department, who participated in a booth to promote the board game club.

Q: Please introduce the club briefly.

A: Our club mainly plays board games. Not only board games, but we also play Crime Scene and Room Escape. We meet regularly once a week on Mondays.

Q: Do you have any major events planned by the club?

A: We have regular meetings every week, and we are planning an MT in May to welcome new members. We also visit the Room Escape cafe once at the end of every month and play games. Previously, we visited cafes in Cheongju, but we plan to change our activities to Gangnam and Hongdae in Seoul and have a bigger meeting this year.

Q: What do you expect the most from this street recruitment?

A: I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of freshmen join our club. There are many games and friendships in the club, so you'll be able to adapt easily.

As such, we can see that our university's board game club is waiting for a lot of participation from freshmen and looking forward to a new relationship to enjoy games and make memories together.

The following is an interview with Ki-beom Kim, a student of the Electrical Control Engineering Department who participated as a booth for the volunteer club ‘동그라미‘.

Q: Please introduce the club briefly.

A: Our club is a long-standing club that was founded in 1964 and has continued until now. Students from various departments can gather to do various volunteer activities and gain experience in cooperating with people.

Q: What was the most rewarding moment while working in the club?

A: It was when I went to volunteer at a nursery. I played with children and even helped them return home, and it was very rewarding to see them happy.

Q: What kind of event did you prepare?

A: We prepared three things. We prepared a game called ‘5초줄게’, a character quiz, and ‘참참참’. I'm so proud that I got closer to my university classmates through these participatory games.

Q: Is there anything you want to say to your classmates who are considering joining?

A: We've prepared a lot more diverse and unique activities this year, so I hope the freshmen will show a lot of interest.

As such, the volunteer club ’동그라미‘ is trying to get closer to more classmates through game-style events. And this year, they prepared colorful activities to welcome new students. The door of ’동그라미‘, which will be the beginning of one's first volunteer work, is now wide open.

Our university's 2025 central club street recruitment event was a precious time for students with different majors and interests to connect and blend in, beyond just promoting. Each individual's personality and talent are gathered in one space to complete our university's unique, warm, and dynamic campus culture. Above all, this event was more meaningful because it was a participatory event created by the students themselves. I hope that it was an opportunity to grow one step further through experience.

우리대학, 중앙동아리 가두모집 행사 실시

캠퍼스에 봄기운이 완연히 스며드는 3월, 우리대학 중앙도서관 광장이 학생들의 활기찬 발걸음으로 가득 찼다. 우리대학의 2025학년도 중앙동아리 가두모집 행사가 개최되었기 때문이다. 동아리연합회 ‘링크’가 주관하는 이 행사는 3월 19일(수)부터 20일(목)까지 이틀간 오전 10시부터 오후 4시까지 중앙도서관 앞 광장에서 진행되었다.

매년 많은 학우의 기대 속에 열리는 이 행사는 청주대 재학생, 특히 입학한 지 얼마 되지 않은 25학번 신입생들에게는 자신에게 맞는 동아리를 직접 만나고 경험해 볼 수 있는 절호의 기회였다. 총 31개의 동아리가 부스를 마련하고, 각자의 개성과 매력을 뽐낼 체험 활동과 이벤트를 준비했다. 또한 동아리뿐만이 아닌, 언론사, 우리대학 홍보대사 ‘청연’, ROTC가 참여하여 각자의 단체를 홍보하였다.

이번 행사에서 가장 눈에 띄는 프로그램 중 하나는 바로 참여형 이벤트였다. 참가자들은 6개의 동아리 부스를 방문하여 주어진 미션을 수행하고, 그에 따라 스티커를 수집한다. 그 후 동아리연합회 '링크' 인스타그램을 팔로우하고, ‘링크’ 부스에서 추가 1개 스티커를 받는다. 총 7개의 스티커를 티켓 뒷면에 모두 모은 후 응모권을 작성하여 응모함에 넣으면 참여 완료가 된다. 이벤트 경품 또한 푸짐하게 준비되었다. 커피머신, 블루투스 헤드셋, 스피커, 키보드, 멀티쿠커, 라면 등 실용성을 겸비한 경품들이 마련되어 참여 열기를 한층 끌어올렸다. 이 과정을 통해 우리대학 학우들은 직접 체험하고 소통하는 경험을 할 수 있었다.

중앙도서관 한편에서는 공연분과 동아리들이 참여한 버스킹 공연이 시간대별로 진행되었다. 어쿠스틱 밴드, 보컬 동아리, 힙합 퍼포먼스 등 다채로운 장르의 무대가 이어졌다. 어쿠스틱 밴드 ‘트라이앵글’, 댄스동아리 ‘에이블’, 힙합 동아리 ‘시티코어’ 등 다양한 공연 동아리들이 참가하였다. 이들의 버스킹은 단순한 홍보를 넘어, 축제의 분위기를 뜨겁게 달구고 분위기를 완성했다.

이와 같은 행사에 참여한 학생들의 생생한 경험을 듣고, 행사 내용을 구체적으로 알아보기 위해 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 다음은 보드게임 동아리를 홍보하기 위해 부스로 참여한 20학번 국어교육과 김온유 학우의 인터뷰이다.

Q: 간단한 동아리 소개 부탁드린다.

A: 우리 동아리는 보드게임 위주로 활동하는 동아리이다. 보드게임뿐만이 아닌, 크라임씬, 방탈출도 같이 진행하기도 한다. 주 1회 월요일에 만나 정기적으로 활동한다.

Q: 동아리에서 계획하고 있는 주요 행사가 있나?

A: 매주 정기 모임을 진행하고 있고, 신입 부원을 환영하는 MT를 5월 중으로 계획하고 있다. 또한 매달 말에 1회씩 방탈출 카페를 단체 방문하여 게임을 진행한다. 이전에는 청주 지역의 카페를 방문했지만, 이번 연도부터 서울권의 강남, 홍대로 활동 지역을 바꿔 더 큰 규모의 만남을 가질 예정이다.

Q: 이번 가두모집에서 제일 기대하는 점은?

A: 우리 동아리에 25학번 신입생분들이 많이 가입하기를 기대하고 있다. 동아리 내에서 많은 게임과 친목을 진행하고 있으니 쉽게 적응하실 수 있을 것이다.

이처럼 우리대학 보드게임 동아리가 25학번 신입생들의 많은 참여를 기다리며, 함께 게임을 즐기고 추억을 쌓을 새로운 인연을 기대하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

다음은 봉사 동아리 ‘동그라미’ 부스로 참여한 22학번 전기제어공학과 김기범 학우의 인터뷰이다.

Q: 간단한 동아리 소개 부탁드린다.

A: 우리 동아리는 1964년에 창설되어 지금까지 이어져 온 역사 깊은 동아리이다. 다양한 학과의 학생들이 모여 다양한 봉사활동을 하며 사람들과 협력하는 경험을 쌓을 수 있다.

Q: 동아리 활동하면서 제일 보람 있었던 순간은?

A: 어린이집 봉사를 하러 갔을 때이다. 아이들과 함께 놀고, 아이들 퇴원까지 도와주었는데 그때 아이들이 행복해하는 걸 보고 보람을 많이 느꼈다.

Q: 가두모집에서 어떤 이벤트를 준비했나?

A: 세 가지를 준비했다. ‘5초줄게’라는 게임, 인물 퀴즈, 그리고 ‘참참참’을 준비했다. 이러한 참여형 게임을 통해 우리대학 학우들에게 더 가까이 다가간 것 같아 뿌듯하다.

Q: 가입을 고민하는 학우에게 해주고 싶은 말이 있다면?

A: 이번 연도에는 더욱 다양하고 이색적인 활동들을 많이 준비했으니, 신입생분들께서 많은 관심 가져주시길 바란다.

이처럼 봉사 동아리 ‘동그라미’는 게임 형식의 이벤트를 통해 더 많은 학우와 가까워지고자 노력하고 있으며, 올해는 더욱 풍성하고 다채로운 활동들로 신입생들을 맞이할 준비를 하고 있다. 누군가에게는 첫 봉사의 시작이 될 ‘동그라미’의 문은 지금 활짝 열려 있다.

이번 우리대학의 2025학년도 중앙동아리 가두모집 행사는 단순한 홍보를 넘어, 서로 다른 전공과 관심사를 가진 학생들이 연결되고 어우러지는 소중한 시간이었다. 각자의 개성과 재능이 하나의 공간에서 모여 우리대학만의 따뜻하고도 역동적인 캠퍼스 문화를 완성하였다. 무엇보다 이 행사는 학생들 스스로가 만들어가는 참여형 행사여서 더 뜻깊었다. 참여하는 모든 이들이 주인공이 되고, 경험을 통해 한 걸음 더 성장하는 계기가 되었길 바란다.
