Objectives of Division
 As the economy grows, the business environment changes rapidly and the uncertainty increases, the study of business dministration is getting more important. The Business Administration is the study for learning effective methods to grow and develop a firm or firms which is one of the most important entities of national economy.

 The Division takes aim at achievement of the educational idea and educational objectives of Cheongju University and in addition, the nourishment of future management experts. For this the Division cultivates business experts, who has an ability to manage the enterprise rationally, as making the best use of an advantage of division system based on self-control, diversity and creativity.

 To achieve this objectives, the curriculum is composed of the self-regulated search courses during freshmen year and divided into the majors of Business Administration and Accounting from sophomore to pursue professional knowledges.
Major of Business Administration
The Objectives
 Business Administration is the study focused on the enterprise which is one of the most important organizations of contemporary society, therefore it is getting more important for the growth of economy and the rapid change of business environments. The major of Business Administration cultivates the business expert, who has an ability to manage the enterprise rationally and scientifically as well as who is able to enhance the value of the firm.

 As the environments of business management is changing with the trends of globalization, information-orient and localization, the department of business administration tries to accomplish the objectives of education for the nourishment of future management experts through international management training getting through the foreign language training and globalization training, and information-oriented training through information technology and information literacy training, and practical training through academy-industry cooperation with regional enterprises and case studies and cultivation of moral character training through business ethics and environments.
Career after graduation
 A graduate, who graduates a bachelor's in Business Administration, could advance into the various fields depend on his/her own desire and plan. The main fields of employment are the manager of a private and public corporation of manufacturing industry, securities and financial business, distribution business and service industry, and the high-level public officer upon the state examinations and the expert through the state registered certification, and the professor through completing the courses inside and outside of the country or the researcher in the related institute, and in addition there is a course of study for the teaching profession, he/she could choose to be a teacher, or he/she could be a CEO as establishing his/her own company.

Major in Accounting
 The ultimate goal of this Major is to learn to judge the appropriateness of information and the rationality in management decision-making processes. According to this goal, the students participate in various accounting programs and learn practical approaches for forecast, motivation incitement, controlling,
decision-making, result analysis and so on.
 This Major aims to educate students in the basic theories of Accounting, and, finally, how to promote and carry out their various accounting skills and functions in management businesses, national or international. The curriculum is designed to help students fully understand the main subjects of each pecialized major, such as Financial Accounting, Cost Management Accounting, Tax Accounting and Auditing.

Economics
 The Korean economy is changing rapidly in all aspects as the 21st century brings an era of information, localization and globalization. GDP per capita continues to grow from $10,000 mark to $20,000 (and even $30,000), placing Korea among one of the leading countries in the world. In order to effectively address the relationships among trade partners as well as domestic and international changes in household, corporate, industrial and social economic environments, it is important to gain a professional economic knowledge and analyze domestic and international economic trends. The objective of the economics department is to develop experts in economics who can create added value to any field they enter in society through their professional and practical knowledge. The economics department offers students to gain well-rounded background knowledge in economic theories including macroeconomics, microeconomics, financial economics and international economics as well as economic policies including econometrics and mathematical economics. Based on their exposure in these key economic concepts, students then mayindividually choose to study and research a specific economic field they wish to major.
 This systematic educational approach allows to produce professional and practical experts in economics. In addition, as local cultural and industrial economy develops, those managers in these fields wish to employ people with professional and systematic knowledge in local economics. The economics department tries to train and develophighly skilled individuals for local cultural development through newly offered cultural economics courses.
International Trade
 The educational goal of department of international trade is to train students for skilled international traders and businessman and to educate the related subjects of the international economics and international business and international commerce for students to deal with the globalization and liberalization of the world.
 The detailed subjects of above policy are international trade, international finance, journalistic international trade and finance, international transport management, customs and practice of international trade, contract of international trade law, study of international business laws, theory of international business strategy, global electronic commerce, studies in oversea market environments, international trade insurance management, case study of international business issues, practice of exchange management, case study of foreign direct investmant, methodology in commodity distribution research, ...etc.
  Especially worldwide globalization and liberalization together with the economic blocs in the 21st century, we are going to try to foster highly gualifide and professional students in international economics, business and commerce, at the same time to try to renovate the curricula all the time to cope with the changing international situation.
Chines Trade & Commerce
 This major is to train specialists in international trade and commerce for Northeast Asia centering around China as well as specialists for international areas with the global age by expanding mutual economic exchange and cooperation between Korea and China and establishing smooth trade and commerce systems with China, based on the understanding of politics, economy, society, culture, history, thought, race and language of China which has been already settled as a great economic power in the world.
It is also intended to cultivate specialists in commerce with China who have business ability so as to plan and practice actual business, including trade, commerce, cultural exchange and so forth, through learning international trade, international management, international transaction agreement and deep study of China recently getting leaped into a leading country of Northeast Asian economy. Each of them can take an active part as a specialist for international area in international institution, diplomatic institution, trade, tourism and consulting after graduation. By operating on-site-oriented educational programs, business ability to perform actual work of commerce will be cultivated without separate practices on the spot after graduation.

 In particular, the school has gained experience in academic exchanges with China for the past 30 years, and in relation to China commerce, the highest mutual educational program with China in the country both in name and reality is operated with the full support of school authorities. The school has established sisterhood relationship with the Tam Kang University in 1988, the Shan Dong University in 1991, the Soo Chow in 1994, the Yan Bian University in 1996, since the start of academic exchange with China by establishment of sisterhood relationship with Chinese Culture University in 1976. Even in the last years, the school has continuously expanded exchange with Chinese universities which opened the Department of Korean Language, which operates student exchange program positively, establishing sisterhood relationship with the East China University of Politics and Law in 2000, Inter Mongolia University in 2001, Liaodong University, Ocean University of China, Beijing Broadcasting Institute, Liaocheng University, Shengda College of Zhengzhou University in 2003.

 Using mutual student exchange program being operated jointly with sister school as well as international exchange program for language training conducted by the Center for International Affairs of this school, it is able to experience Chinese culture and commerce directly on the spot. Mutual student exchange program is a ¡º3+1¡» cross registration system that provides an opportunity to experience China practically not to be a simple language training in the way of registering in the 3rd year of this major at this school and studying in the sister school in China for 6 months or a year without charging additional school fees, taking credits to be accepted by this school.

Tourism Management rading
 The aim of the tourism management department, based on Cheongju University¡¯ educational goals such as seeking after truth and cultivating moral character, is to nurture students to play creative, moral, and leading roles in tourism industry and research. To achieve this aim, students will be educated and trained to be able to understand various industries and their situations along with global situations. Students will also be guided to have industry experiences based on academic knowledge in order to well prepare for their future plan.
Hotel and Tourism Management Department
 The hospitality industry is one of fastest growing fields and future industry and includes hotel corporations, restaurants and food service corporations, and tourism corporations. The demand for hospitality industry professionals is growing and expected to grow in the near future. The Hotel and Tourism Management department was founded to educate students who want to be professionals in the hospitality industry. The Hotel and Tourism Management department offers degree programs at undergraduate levels, and numerous graduates of the Hotel and Tourism Management department are working globally as professionals in the hospitality industry.

The curriculum of the Hotel and Tourism Management program includes the hospitality industry infrastructure related theoretical and technical courses, and hospitality management core courses such as human resource management in the hospitality industry, marketing, operations management, management information systems, and finance. The curriculum balances hospitality management courses with the hospitality industry field focused practical courses and the theoretical courses.

 Upon completion of the undergraduate degree, many career options are available. Opportunities include middle management and staff positions in the hospitality industry organizations such as hotel corporations, travel agencies, airline industry, food service industry, international convention centers, event planning companies. Graduates could also become entrepreneurs and operate their own franchised restaurant and hotel. There are some opportunities for graduates to be a government officer, or a teacher in the high school.
